Our story
One team, from formulation to filing.
The beginning
KMS began with a vision.
Founded by Dr. M. Ganesan, KMS started as a research and development centre with a simple but ambitious objective—to build an organization where scientific knowledge, pharmaceutical expertise, and disciplined execution could come together to develop and advance meaningful healthcare solutions.
From its early days, Dr. Ganesan focused on building the right scientific environment, bringing together experienced professionals and creating capabilities that could support pharmaceutical development from the laboratory through clinical and regulatory stages.
What began as a focused R&D initiative has grown over the years into a broader pharmaceutical development platform, with capabilities spanning product development, clinical research, regulatory support, manufacturing partnerships, and commercialization.
The journey has always been guided by the same principle: build capabilities, earn trust, and create long-term value through science and execution.
The evolutionAs our work with partners grew, new capabilities followed naturally. Analytical development came next, followed by technology transfer, regulatory documentation and the coordination of bioequivalence studies. Each capability was built in response to a real need within a partner programme—not with the intention of creating another service line, but to take greater responsibility for the development journey.
TodayToday, KMS brings together six core capabilities across three laboratories in Selaiyur, supporting the development of 43 of our own products. Products developed through our facilities and programmes have received approvals from regulatory authorities including the US FDA, the UK MHRA and Health Canada.
What comes nextThe immediate focus is on filing the dossiers and advancing our differentiated products currently under development for the EU, US, and other global markets. In parallel, we are strengthening our long-term pipeline, capabilities, and strategic investments to support sustainable growth and expand our presence across international markets.
